SKRIPSI: THE RELATIONS BETWEEN OBESITY WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE IN ADOLESCENTS AGE 13-15 YEARS IN SMP NEGERI 6 AND SMP NEGERI 30 MAKASSAR IN 2014 - 2015

Objective: To determine the effect of obesity on hypertension in adolescents aged 13-15 years in the city of Makassar. Method: This study is an observational analytic study with cross sectional design. The number of research subjects as many as 80 children ,. Determination of obesity with a Z-score is based on the Body Mass Index / Age (BMI / A). Data results of blood pressure. Results: The results obtained by the analysis of bivariate correlation with body mass index based on the blood pressure table correlation value is 0.529, which means there is a strong correlation between obesity and hypertension in children. The results of the chi-square test statistics obtained value P = 0.000
