SKRIPSI: HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN TENTANG BAHAYA MEROKOK DENGAN PERILAKU MEROKOK PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS EKONOMI JURUSAN ILMU EKONOMI STUDY PEMBANGUNAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MAKASSAR

Background :Smoking is cause of health problems, patients not only smokers
(active smokers), but also those who are in the environment of cigarette smoke
(passive smokers). World Health Organization estimates that in developing
countries, the smokers reach 800 million people. One of reasons is lack of
knowledge about the dangerous of smoking.
Objective :To know the correlation of knowledge about the dangerous of
smoking and smoking behavior especially in scholar.
Study Method :This is analytic observational with cross sectional design, which
is measurement of the independent variable (knowledge) and dependent variable
(smoking behavior) using primary data.
Result :The result showed knowledge about the dangerous of smoking of the 130
respondents, 85 respondents knowledgeable enough, and respondents who have
less knowledge as 45 respondents. For the smoking behavior as many 17
respondents is smokers, while nonsmokers as many as 113 respondents.
Conclusion :There is correlation between the level of knowledge about the
dangerous of smoking and smoking behavior whit the P value was < 0.05.
